Your congress landing page, ready in one afternoon: a no-developer guide

"We don't have the time or budget for a custom website" is the phrase we hear most often from congress organisers. And they're right: hiring a developer for a site you only need active a few weeks a year doesn't add up. But that doesn't mean you have to settle for an ugly page or depend on a generic ticketing platform.

Step 1: choose a template built for congresses

No generic restaurant or personal portfolio templates. Starting from a design already thought out for a professional event — with room for agenda, speakers, venue and sponsors — saves you the hours usually spent deciding "what sections do I actually need".

Step 2: edit the content, not the code

Change texts, upload photos, add as many speakers or sponsors as you need, turn sections on or off. All from a panel, without opening a code editor or depending on anyone for a last-minute change — something you'll be grateful for the week before the congress, when everything changes at once.

Step 3: point your own domain

This is where a lot of people get stuck, thinking they need a technician. In reality it's a couple of DNS records, handed to you ready to copy and paste into whatever provider you bought your domain from.

Step 4: publish, SSL included

No third-party branding, with the green security padlock, and checking beforehand how everything looks with a live preview — no need to wait until the domain is pointed to see the result.

How long does it really take?

With the content already decided (texts, photos, dates), putting the landing together itself usually takes around 10 minutes. What actually takes time is deciding WHAT you're going to say — and no tool can shorten that part for you.
